About us

APEL was developed as of 2006 as a specialized service for the professional integration of the persons in difficulty, thus setting up a multidisciplinary team.

The Association placed networking, the building of communication and exchange bridges between the social, economic and administrative sectors at the basis of its intervention. In such respect collaboration protocols were established with various public institutions, the national Employment Agency (ANOFM), the National Youth Agency (ANT), the Children’s Protection General Directorate (DGPC) and other social assistance territorial services, but also the adhesion to fur chambers of commerce: the Italian Chamber of Commerce for Romania (CCipR), the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania, the French Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture in Romania (CCIFER) and the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture of Timis. Moreover, APEL is an active party and founding member of C.IA.O. – Comitate Italiano Associazioni e ONG in Romania as of 2007 and is part of social networks such as FONPC – the Federation of Non-Governmental Organizations for Children, RENASIS – the National Anti-Poverty– and Social Inclusion Network (EAPN), the GEN Network (Gender Equality Network) and RONOR – the Network of Non-Governmental Organizations of Occupations of Romania, federations within which APEL diversified and updated its services and scope of business.

The programs of APEL focus on the services offered to persons who find themselves in marginalization and social exclusion situations, our beneficiaries being trained to look for and keep a job, correlated with the intermediation of the relationships with the potential employers. The scope of the services provided by APEL diversified during the last few years by including activities of consultancy and analysis of the work market, activities of personnel assessment in the performed programs, as well as services for the monitoring of the migration phenomenon in Romania.

As of 2008, APEL started a new stage in the development of the skills and scope of business which targets the integration of the nationals of a third country (RTT) in the Romanian society, by the supply of services of counseling and information in fields related to the appropriate operation of the society (access to the labor market, access to medical services, access to education). Thus, by means of the activities which targeted the counseling and information of such persons a step further was taken regarding the investment in the human resources existing in Romania and in the improvement of intercultural relationships forming skills.

In the future the service will no doubt maintain its specificity of experimenting new ways of finding other forms of balance and social intervention. The flexibility and contextualization of the intervention and process of “organization” according to the internal and external conditions which will surely develop will continue to be part of our preoccupations.
